A music video for Bohemian Rhapsody, a song by the UK band the Queen, has appeared on the web, which is edited from several thousand fan-made cover versions of the opus. The video was posted on their official YouTube channel by the members of the Queen.

The video was the result of the “You Are The Champions” competition, which the musicians announced in August after the original “Bohemian Rhapsody” clip garnered 1 billion views on YouTube. Participants of the contest were invited to record this song at home, after which the video was edited from the sent videos.

To inspire new fans, YouTube and the Queen have created a special microsite with detailed instructions for each clip. “Don’t Stop Me Now” was planned as a collaborative dance video based on the original choreography by Polly Bennett, who also worked on the biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

To recreate “Bohemian Rhapsody,” YouTube and the Queen encouraged fans to perform the song at home themselves; The new “A Kind of Magic” is based on a diverse visual art presented by fans from all over the world. In total, more than 10,000 fans from more than 120 countries took part in the production of three videos.
