Shown at the end of the first Square Enix presents , the online event of the Japanese giant on the news of the titles in production, Life is Strange True Colors lights up all the colors of emotions.
The interactive novel by Deck Nine Games, formerly responsible for the prologue Life is Strange: Before the Storm , introduces a new protagonist named Alex, a girl with Asian features who after years of separation from her brother Gabe decides to go to live with him in the town of Haven Springs, a rural community surrounded by nature. An almost perfect place for a new beginning. Almost, at least until Gabe dies under strange circumstances, leaving Alex with too many questions and a mystery to solve.
True Colors shows the yellow shades of a teen drama, a genre to which the video game series is linked, in which the player must reveal the ambiguity of a death that apparently seems random. To solve this mystery Alex can count on his very particular ability, that of perceiving the emotions of the people around her.
Alex visualizes people’s emotions in the form of a colored aura and can feel the same feeling. The supernatural ability of the protagonist will naturally be the focus of the investigative activity.
Compared to previous episodes of the series, Square Enix has decided to publish the game in its entirety since from the day of the launch, even if the title retains its classic division into chapters. This decision follows the system adopted by Netflix or Amazon Prime Video for TV series and gives the player the opportunity to enjoy True Colors calmly or immerse themselves in long gaming sessions in a sort of “binge gaming”.
Life is Strange: True Colors will be available in physical and digital format on September 10 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PC Steam and Google Stadia.
Also announced during the event Life is Strange Remastered Collection , which will include the remastered editions of Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm with improved graphics and animations.
